There was another “wrong-way driver” accident early this morning (May 20, 2014) on Chicago’s Kennedy Expressway.
According to Illinois State Police (ISP) this “wrong-way driver” accident happened at approximately 12:45 a.m., as a driver in a van entered the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90/94) at North Avenue and drove southbound in the northbound lanes.
This “wrong-way driving” happened only for a very short distance, until a “head-on” collision with a semi truck occurred.
Charges are pending against the van’s driver, who suffered minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
