“Wrong-Way Driver” Accident On Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive

Late Friday night, there was a “wrong-way driver” accident on Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive that left six people injured.

A woman was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive (LSD) when the accident happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. She collided with three other vehicles near Waveland Avenue in Lake View.

According to officials, none of the people injured appeared to have life-threatening injuries. However, three of the people injured – including the woman who was driving in the wrong direction – were taken to area hospitals in serious-to-critical condition. Three other people involved in the accident were examined by paramedics at the accident scene, but refused treatment.
