Woman Struck By Truck At LaSalle And Division

There was a pedestrian accident today (January 12, 2016) in Chicago’s Near North Side.

According to Chicago Police, the accident happened in the 1100 block of North LaSalle Street, and involved a 74-year-old woman struck by a truck as she was crossing LaSalle and Division in a crosswalk.  The accident happened at approximately noon.

The truck that hit her was attempting to make a turn at the time of the accident.

The woman needed to be revived by paramedics before she was taken to Northwestern Memorial in critical condition.

Charges are pending against the truck driver.
