A car accident in Hyde Park (south side of Chicago) has killed one woman and injured another woman and man.
Details on the accident are, at this point, sparse. Their car crashed into a tree about 11:30 Thursday night (July 21).
The accident occurred near Midway Plaisance and Cornell Drive, according to a fire department spokesman.
When firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found a man and woman trapped in the car. Another woman had been ejected from the vehicle and found about 25 feet away, lying in the grass.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the woman killed was identified as Velois Murray, 19, of the 7700 block of South Langley Avenue.
The driver and the other woman were both believed to be in their 20s.
