There was a car accident on Lake Shore Drive on March 30, in which a woman was injured, and on Wednesday (April 3) she died from her injuries.
The woman who died yesterday of her injuries has been identified as Verlinda Perry-Hill, 52, of Chicago.
The accident on Saturday night happened at approximately 10:45 p.m. Mareo Nutall, 32, of Chicago, was driving an SUV southbound on Lake Shore Drive, in the 4700 South block, when he rear-ended the minivan in which Verlinda Perry-Hill was driving. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
On Monday, Chicago Police said Nutall was charged with aggravated DUI, driving on a suspended license and failure to reduce speed. He may now face additional charges resulting from the death of Verlinda Perry-Hill.
