According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m., at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street. At the time of this pedestrian accident, the woman was crossing the street “with the light” when a trolley, attempting to make a right-hand turn, struck her.
The woman, later identified as Hiromi Hosono, 42, of New York, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead.
