There was a fatal “head-on collision” Sunday morning (December 7, 2014) in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. A 63-year-old woman died following the car crash.

According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 7:50 a.m., as the 63-year-old woman was driving her car eastbound in the 2700 block of West Division. At that time, her car was hit “head-on” – for reasons currently unknown – by another car heading westbound.
The woman, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Bessie English, 63, of Chicago, was pronounced dead at 9:22 a.m., after being taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. It is being reported that she may have suffered a heart attack during the crash.
The two occupants of the car that hit Bessie English’s car fled the accident scene on foot.
