Van Collides With Taxi On Clark Street

There was a collision between a van and taxicab Thursday night (February 27, 2014) in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

According to Chicago Police, this accident happened at approximately 11:05 p.m., in the 400 block of North Clark Street.

The vehicle collision occurred when a van traveling southbound on Clark ran a red light, and struck the taxi heading eastbound on West Illinois.

The cab driver was taken to Stroger Hospital. Three of the van’s occupants were also hospitalized at Stroger and Northwestern Hospital.

The van’s driver fled the accident scene.
