Three children were struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning (September 22, 2015) in Highland Park, near Indian Trail School. The children included a 7-year-old girl, and two 14-year-old boys.
According to Highland Park Police, police were notified at 8:50 a.m.
The accident happened as the children were walking northbound on the sidewalk. They were struck by a southbound vehicle that was attempting to turn into Indian Trail School’s south parking lot.
All three children were taken to Highland Park Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries. The injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.
The driver of the car, identified as David Levinson, 54, of Highland Park, was cited for failure to yield to pedestrians.
