A man was killed after a car accident on Chicago’s Stevenson Expressway (Interstate 55) in the Bridgeport neighborhood on Sunday.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Jason Dye, 25, of Justice, Illinois, was pronounced dead at 5:47 p.m. Sunday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Dye was behind the wheel of a 1997 Ford Explorer, traveling on the inbound Stevenson near Union Avenue, about 12:20 p.m. when he swerved to the left and slammed into a median wall, said Illinois State Police District ChicagoTrooper Mark Hall.
The SUV flipped and Dye was ejected, Hall said.
