A semi truck hauling locomotive parts “flipped over” and slid across three lanes of traffic on the Stevenson Expressway near Burr Ridge today, August 19. The accident happened at 7:45 on the ramp from County Line Road southbound to I-55 northbound.
According to Illinois State Police, two cars tried to avoid the truck accident; however, those cars collided, sending four people to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to ISP Elgin District Sgt. Brent Hop, the truck driver was not hurt but is expected to be cited.
