There was a hit & run accident Tuesday afternoon (October 7, 2014) in which a semi struck a bicyclist in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood.
Details regarding the accident are somewhat limited at this time.
According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 4:25 p.m., as a semi truck heading south on Ashland Avenue struck a bicyclist in the 3600 block. The truck driver then drove off.
The bicyclist, identified only as being 47 years old, was taken in critical condition to Stroger for treatment of injuries.

Officers described the truck driver as a white man in his 30s with a slender build. The man had blonde hair and a short, clean-cut beard. Anyone with information on this accident is asked to call detectives at 312-745-4521.
