There was a car accident early Thursday morning (August 10, 2017) in Chicago near Millenium Park. According to Chicago Police, the accident involved one vehicle “rear-ending” another vehicle. Such collisions can cause a variety of accident injuries, as the vehicle occupants can be subject to unnatural (and possibly strong) forces. According to Chicago Police, four people were injured in the crash. An excerpt regarding the collision, from the August 10 Chicago Sun-Times article titled “4 injured in crash near Millenium Park“:
A livery driver was at the stop light in a 2017 GMC Yukon about 3 a.m. in the 200 block of East Monroe when the Yukon was rear-ended by a Kia Sorento, according to Chicago Police.
Three people in the Yukon were injured in the crash, police said. Two men, ages 21 and 30, were taken to Stroger Hospital, and a 33-year-old woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Kia, identified as a 21-year-old man, was also taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.
Chicago Police issued citations with regard to the collision.
