Chicago pedestrian accidents, as well as those that happen throughout the greater Chicago area, continue to be a major traffic safety concern. There was a fatal Rolling Meadows pedestrian accident on Thursday (August 23, 2018) night. The accident occurred on Algonquin Road.

According to Rolling Meadows Police, the accident happened at 9:26 p.m. at Algonquin Road and Weber Drive. At that time, a pedestrian, identified as Enrique Vazquez-Trejo, 43, of Rolling Meadows, was hit by a vehicle. He died from his injuries at the accident scene.
The accident investigation is being conducted by the Rolling Meadows Police Department and Cook County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
