This morning, a man was struck and killed by a semi truck on the 83rd Street ramp on the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94).
Details on the accident are somewhat limited. However, it is being reported that Gabriel O. Ohihuare, 40, of Chicago, was driving northbound on I-94, when he stopped the vehicle along the right shoulder near 83rd Street for reasons unknown.
A semi truck traveling in the right lane struck Ohikhuare at approximately 9:40 a.m. Ohikhuare was pronounced dead at the scene.
