Jogger Fatally Struck By Car On Chicago’s Northwest Side

There was a fatal accident Tuesday morning (August 23, 2016) in which a car struck a jogger along Devon Avenue on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

According to Chicago Police, the accident happened as the woman was jogging east in the westbound lanes on Devon Avenue in the 6300 block of West Devon Avenue, near Milwaukee Avenue.  While one car swerved to avoid striking the woman, the next car was unable to avoid hitting the woman.

The woman died after being taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
