Hit & Run Accident In Aurora Involving Bicyclist

There was a bicycle accident in Aurora, Illinois on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, that was a hit & run accident.

The bicycle accident happened in the morning, in the parking lot of East Aurora High School. Anthony Ruiz, of Aurora, was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a sedan.

An excerpt from the September 15, 2014 Aurora Beacon-News article titled “Police Blotter: Bicyclist struck in East High School parking lot“:

Ruiz fell off the bicycle and landed on the hood of the car, police said.

The driver stopped briefly to check on Ruiz before he fled the scene. Police said Ruiz was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora where he was treated for minor injuries.
