Four People Injured In “Wrong-Way Driver” Accident On Lake Shore Drive

A car traveling in the wrong direction caused a “head-on collision” early this morning (May 2, 2014) on Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive. Four people were injured during this “wrong-way driver” accident.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the “wrong-way driver” was driving a Subaru southbound in the northbound lanes at approximately 1:50 a.m., when the driver collided “head on” with a Prius taxi at Randolph Street.

Two passengers in the taxicab, identified as a 25-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

The Subaru’s driver, as well the taxi’s driver, were taken to Stroger Hospital.
