Five-Year-Old Girl Dies After Hit & Run Accident In Chicago’s Lawndale Neighborhood

A 5-year-old girl was struck, and later died, during a hit & run accident on Monday evening in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood.

The accident happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Millard Ave.

The girl struck was Monet Robinson.

Monet had run out from between two cars, and was running across the street, following her sisters, when the accident happened.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Monet apparently was aware of the fact that he struck Monet as witnesses say he briefly stopped and looked out the window before speeding off.

Monet was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
