There was a fatal car rollover accident early Friday morning (July 31, 2015) on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway (I-290).
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), a preliminary investigation shows that the accident happened as a Chevrolet Venture van was traveling at a high speed in the left lane, when the van lost control, swerved to the right, and rolled over muliple times. The van landed on its roof.
There were six people in the van, including two men and four women. One woman died at the accident scene.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, of the remaining five people, the three women were taken to Stroger Hospital. The two men were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
