There was a fatal Chicago pedestrian accident Saturday night (January 17, 2015) in Chicago’s Hermosa neighborhood (Northwest Side.) Two men died as a result of this pedestrian accident, which was a hit & run.
According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 10:10 p.m. in the 4300 block of West North Avenue. At that time, a 2002 Buick hit two men who were walking across the street.
After the pedestrian accident, the driver allegedly drove away from the accident scene, but crashed into parked vehicles three blocks away.
The driver of the car has been identified as Jose Estrada, 24, of Chicago.

Jose Estrada, 24, is facing two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and two felony counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death, according to a Chicago Police Department statement.
Estrada, of the 1200 block of North Kedzie Avenue, was also cited with failure to reduce speed and is scheduled to appear in bond cort Monday afternoon.
One of the two men that were hit by the Buick died at the accident scene. The other man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The two men have been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Raman Cruz, 36, and Pablo Esquivel-Vega.
