There was a fatal Northfield pedestrian accident Saturday (April 13, 2019) evening in Northfield. This fatal Northfield pedestrian accident occurred in the 1700 block of Orchard Lane.

According to Northfield Police, police were called to the accident scene at 6:20 p.m. The accident involved a pedestrian who was hit by a car.
The pedestrian, identified as Jacquelyn Wittleder, 70, of Northfield, was taken to Evanston Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, she was pronounced dead at 9:55 p.m. According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, she died from blunt force injuries sustained during the accident.
This fatal Northfield pedestrian accident remains under investigation by the Northfield Police Department.
