There was a fatal single-vehicle crash on Interstate 290 late Tuesday night near Hillside.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the accident happened as the vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-290 when it rolled over at approximately 11:30 p.m. near I-294. The vehicle then caught fire.
The driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, was killed in the accident.
