There was a fatal vehicle accident early Saturday morning (March 8, 2014) on Interstate 57 (I-57) near 99th Street.
This fatal rollover accident involved a year 2000 Ford Explorer, which – according to police – was driving above the speed limit at approximately 1:25 a.m.
The driver lost control of the SUV, and it veered right, hit the right guard rail, and rolled over. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.
The driver, identified as a 29-year-old man from Chicago, was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m. after being taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
