There was a fatal head-on vehicle collision Sunday night (October 13, 2013) in Aurora, Illinois. Three people were killed and five people were injured.
Details on the vehicle collision and its causes are somewhat limited.
However, it is being widely reported that the head-on collision happened shortly before midnight. The collision happened at Broadway Avenue, south of Hazel Avenue.
One vehicle, a minivan, carried a family, with seven occupants, and the other vehicle, a Dodge Charger, only the driver.
Of the three people killed in the accident, two died at the accident scene and another died shortly after being taken to a local hospital. Those who died as a result of the accident involved two members of the family, and the driver of the Dodge Charger, identified as a 28-year-old man from Aurora.
Aurora Police are asking those with information concerning the accident to call Traffic Investigators at 630-256-5330.
