A fatal Edens Expressway crash occurred early Sunday (August 4, 2019) morning. This Edens Expressway crash involved three vehicles.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the crash happened on the Edens near Gross Point Road, in the northbound lanes.

Authorities say that three vehicles, a BMW sedan, a Chevrolet sedan, and a Toyota taxi, were traveling northbound near Gross Point Road at approximately 1:37 a.m. when they became involved in a collision.
The driver of the BMW lost control of his car, crashing into the other two vehicles, police said.
The Toyota turned over on the expressway. The driver was killed.
The occupants of the BMW – the driver and two passengers – were injured and taken to the hospital. Those injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger in the Chevrolet were not injured during the crash.
This fatal Edens Expressway crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
