A person was killed in a car accident early Monday (July 9, 2018) morning in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.
According to information provided by Chicago Police, the accident happened in the 600 block of West North Avenue. At 3:33 a.m., a Nissan Altima driving east “rear-ended” an eastbound 2008 Acura that was stopped at a stop light. The force of the collision pushed the Acura into the intersection.
The driver of the Altima was injured during the collision and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment of injuries, which included head trauma. He was pronounced dead there.
The driver of the Acura, identified as a man who is 32 years old, was not injured and refused medical treatment at the accident scene.
