Fatal Bicycling Accident On Chicago’s Northwest Side

There was a fatal bicycling accident Thursday morning (July 3, 2014) on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

Details concerning the accident and its causes are somewhat limited at this time.

According to Chicago Police, this Chicago bicycling accident happened at approximately 10:40 a.m., near Cicero and Belmont Avenues. The bicyclist was riding her bike when she was struck by a truck traveling northbound on Cicero and attempting to make a right-hand turn onto Belmont.

The bicyclist was identified as Barbara Eno, 28, of Chicago. She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and pronounced dead at 11:31 a.m.
