There was a fatal Interstate 57 (I-57) car accident early Saturday morning (October 28, 2017) on Chicago’s Far South Side. The accident involved a car crashing into (rear-ending) a semi truck. Three men in the car died and another man was critically injured.

A red 2012 Chevrolet car crashed into the back of a semi at a high speed at 3:18 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-57 near 107th Street, according to Illinois State Police. The driver, 19-year-old Julius J. Green, was dead at the scene.
One passenger in the car, Precious M. Horace, 19, of Chicago, also died at the accident scene. Another passenger, Monteene D. Taylor, 21, of Chicago, died after being taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment of his accident injuries.
A third passenger in the car, identified as a 21-year-old Chicago resident, was taken to Christ Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.
The accident investigation is continuing.
