There was a collision between a SUV and semi truck Thursday morning (November 17, 2016) in Skokie. Two people were injured in the crash.
Details regarding the crash appear to be somewhat limited at this time. The cause of the crash, as well as what party was at fault for the crash, does not appear to be publicly disclosed at this time.
According to Skokie officials, the accident happened at 3:51 a.m. and involved a SUV that had a frontal impact with the side of a semi truck at Golf Road and Keeler Avenue. As a result of the collision, the semi tipped onto its side.
While the truck’s driver was not injured during the crash, the driver and passenger in the SUV suffered what were called “significant injuries.” They were taken to Evanston Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries, and were in critical condition. At least one media source says that both the driver and passenger of the SUV were ejected during the crash.
