Car Traveling At High Speed Involved In Fatal Bridgeport Collision

There was a fatal Bridgeport car crash early Thursday (September 27, 2018) morning.  The crash led to the death of one person and injuries to two people.

According to Chicago Police, the crash involved a car traveling at high speed.  The driver then lost control of the car.

An excerpt regarding this fatal Chicago crash, from the September 27, 2018 Chicago Sun-Times article titled “Woman killed, 2 injured in Bridgeport crash:  police“:

The three were in a black car headed south at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and struck a light pole about 1:20 a.m. in the 3600 block of South Wentworth, according to Chicago police.

A passenger in the back seat, a woman, was pronounced dead after being taken to Mercy Hospital.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, as well as a 32-year-old female passenger, suffered injuries that were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.  They were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment of their accident injuries.

The Chicago Police Department Major Accidents Unit is conducting the accident investigation.
