This morning, three people were injured during a car accident on Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive (LSD) as the car they were in went over a guard rail. The accident happened shortly before 6 a.m., according to Chicago Police.
It is unclear as to what caused the car to leave the roadway and transcend the guardrail.
According to news reports, Curtis Sanders, 24, of Hammond, Indiana was driving the car, a Buick, that was involved in the accident. After going over the guardrail, the car hit a light pole.
According to Chicago Police, Sanders was cited with damage to city property.
The three people injured were taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital as well as Northwestern Memorial.
