A pickup truck struck a bicyclist Thursday afternoon (October 22, 2015) in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.
According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at the three-way intersection of Halsted, Fullerton and Lincoln Avenue.
The accident happened at approximately 12:15 p.m., as a man driving a pickup truck made a right-hand turn onto Halsted and in doing so struck a 38-year-old woman riding a bicycle.

The woman was knocked off her bike and hit her head on the pavement, police said.
The bicyclist was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment of her accident injuries, which were said to include head and neck injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck received a ticket at the accident scene regarding the accident.
