There was a fatal bicycling accident Thursday evening (May 29, 2014) in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. The accident was a hit & run.

According to Chicago Police, the hit & run accident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. as the bicyclist, identified only as a 59-year-old woman, was bicycling in the 2900 block of South Poplar Avenue.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m
