A fatal car accident in Chicago occurred early Sunday morning on the inbound Eisenhower Expressway.
Antwuan Alexander, 21, of Chicago, apparently lost control of his vehicle while driving “at a high rate of speed.” He lost control of the car while driving in the far left lane. As he lost control he drove across all lanes and the car’s front end hit a concrete median wall near Kedzie Avenue, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Master Sgt. Michael Witt.
Alexander was pronounced dead at 4:36 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to Witt, 3 passengers – two women and another man – were not badly hurt, said Witt. They were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Witt said no other vehicles were involved in the car accident.
