A Chicago man died Thursday night during a car accident on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) near West Fullerton Avenue.
Henrick Kuzdal, 59, was the man killed in the single car accident.
He was driving a 2000 Honda CRV southbound in the far right lane of the Kennedy near West Fullerton at 7:28 p.m., when he veered across all five lanes of traffic, then struck the center median, according to Illinois State Police. It is unclear as to what caused his car to veer across the lanes.
He was ejected from the vehicle during the impact, and landed on the left shoulder.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, Kuzdzal was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
No one else was in Kuzdzal’s vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
