Car Rollover Accident On Lake Shore Drive

Due to high volumes of traffic, as well as other factors, such as numerous exits and weather-related factors, significant numbers of crashes happen on Lake Shore Drive.

One such accident happened early Saturday (February 13, 2016).  According to Chicago Police, this accident was a four-car collision, involving a car rollover.  The accident happened at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes near 47th Street.

During the crash, a vehicle rollover occurred, during which a 24-year-old woman was ejected from the vehicle.  That woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.

Police believe that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the cause of the crash.
