Woman Injured In Evanston Bicycle Accident

A woman riding a bicycle from her job at Presence St. Francis Hospital was hit by a car that was heading to the hospital’s emergency room on October 29, 2015.

According to Evanston Police, the crash happened at 10:23 p.m. as the woman was riding her bicycle on the sidewalk on the north side of Austin Street.

The woman was identified as a 59-year-old female employee of the hospital.

Evanston Fire Department paramedics were summoned to the scene and moved the injured cyclist to the hospital, Dugan said. He said the woman suffered a compound fracture to her leg and was in stable condition as of Friday.
