Motorcyclist Dies Follow Edens Expressway Hit & Run Accident

There was a motorcycle accident Thursday morning (October 8, 2015) on the Edens Expressway that led to the motorcyclist’s death.

According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the original motorcycle accident happened when a car and motorcycle, both traveling southbound on the Edens near Willow Road, hit a deer at approximately 12:20 a.m.

The motorcyclist, following the accident, was walking along the expressway when a semi truck struck him, and continued driving.

The motorcyclist was identified as Huvefa Ukani, 25, of Skokie.  He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for treatment of his accident injuries.  He later died.

Neither the semi truck nor its driver in this hit & run accident has been identified.

This fatal accident remains under investigation.
