A woman that was struck by a taxicab in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood has died from her injuries.
The accident happened on August 30, 2014, as the woman was struck by a northbound cab on North LaSalle Street shortly after 2:00 a.m. This fatal taxi accident happened in the 1400 block of North LaSalle Street.
According to witnesses to the accident, the woman ran out into traffic before she was hit by the cab.
The woman was identified as Emily Fredbloom, 26, of Lansing.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, she died Friday at 4:19 p.m.

The 51-year-old cab driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and not exercising dut care with a pedestrian in the walkway.
The accident remains under investigation.
