A man was fatally hit by a car early Sunday morning (May 4, 2014) as the man ran across Interstate 94 (I-94) on Chicago’s Far South Side.
It is unknown as to why the man was running across the interstate at the time of the accident, which – according to the Illinois State Police (ISP) – happened at approximately 3:00 a.m. near 120th Street.
The man was hit by a 2007 Ford Taurus that was traveling northbound at the time of the accident.
The man struck and killed was identified by the Cook County Coroner’s Office as Lawill Gordon, 22, of Chicago.
