Tristate Tollway Multi-Vehicle Accident

There was a four-vehicle accident on Friday morning (January 17, 2014) on northbound I-294 in Alsip, Illinois.

An excerpt concerning this multi-vehicle accident, as seen in the myfoxchicago.com article of January 17, 2014 titled “Semi overturned in 4-vehicle crash on I-294 in Alsip” :

A red Hyundai entering northbound I-294 from South Cicero Avenue lost control, spun out and struck a semi about 7 a.m., Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Carlita Joe said.

That semi veered, and struck another semi traveling north, Joe said. After the second semi was hit, it flipped over and struck a third semi parked on the right shoulder.

The only reported injury in this multi-vehicle accident was minor injuries sustained by the driver of the Hyundai. The driver refused medical treatment, according to Joe.

This I-294 tollway accident remains under investigation.
