The accident happened on Route 30 and involved two vehicles. One of the vehicles was driven by Janella Harrell, 24, of Aurora. The other vehicle was driven by Stephen P. Pierce, 61, of North Aurora.

According to Oswego police, the accident happened at about 6:37 p.m. on Route 30 just east of Fifth Street. Police said the vehicle traveling east on Route 30 driven by Janella Harrell crossed the center line and was hit by the vehicle driven by Pierce, which was westbound.
A passenger in the car driven by Janella Harrel, identified as Jarred X. Harrell, 21, of Aurora, was killed in the accident. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
Both Jannella Harrell and Stephen Pierce were taken to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora.
