There was a fatal Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) vehicle accident early this morning, November 13, 2013.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the accident happened on the southbound Dan Ryan near 87th Street at approximately 12:55 a.m.
The accident began when an SUV traveling in the center lane struck a car ahead of it. As a result, the car spun and struck the left concrete median wall.
The SUV veered off the roadway to the right, went up an embankment, and rolled over.
While the passengers inside the car were not injured, the driver of the SUV, identified as Deon Brooks, 41, of Calumet Park, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
