There was a fatal vehicle accident early this morning on Chicago’s Kennedy Expressway at Damen Avenue.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident involved a SUV (a Chevy Tahoe) that was was driving at a high rate of speed while traveling northbound on the Kennedy. At approximately 4:38 a.m., the SUV hit the center concrete median and flipped over.
The driver, Fidel Valladares, 26, of Chicago, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and pronounced dead at 5:20 a.m.
Two adult male passengers were taken to Stroger Hospital; their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
