There was a “wrong-way driver” accident this morning (May 23) on the Chicago Skyway, near 85th Street. Four people were injured.
The accident happened at approximately 5:04 a.m., when a Honda driving north in the southbound lanes collided “head-on” with a pickup truck, according to the Chicago Police.
The pickup truck hit the concrete median and rolled over.
The pickup truck’s driver was taken to a local hospital and subsequently released.
The driver of the Honda is reported to be a 25-year-old male. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, suffering from a broken arm. At this point he has been cited for driving in the wrong direction.
Other occupants of the Honda were a 24-year-old man, as well as a 20-year-old woman. Both were taken to local hospitals, treated, and released.
