On Saturday night there was a fatal car accident on the Tri-State Tollway near Willow Road.
Details regarding the accident are somewhat limited, and seem to vary somewhat among media sources. However, the accident happened at approximately 10:45 p.m., as a car attempted to pass an Audi SUV and struck it. The car then hit a median wall and then flipped over, according to witnesses.
Danielle Pisterzi, 21, of Chicago, was the driver of the car. During the accident she was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the car. She was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11:52 p.m.
The four people in the Audi SUV were not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
