10 People Injured When Car Collides With CTA Bus In Chicago’s South Shore Neighborhood

Early Saturday morning, there was a bus accident involving a CTA bus and a car in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. Ten people were injured during the collision.

According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 7200 block of South Jeffery Blvd.


The collision happened when a car crossed over the center line and collided with the bus, which was a regular size Chicago CTA bus.

Of the ten people injured, two were critically injured and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. One of these two critically injured people was the car’s driver.

Of the eight remaining injured people, one was taken to South Shore Hospital in serious condition and the other seven were taken to two other hospitals in good condition.
