A fatal car accident on the southbound Bishop Ford Expressway this morning has left three people dead, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident involved two cars near 94 and 130th Street, and happened around 3:10 a.m. A Chevrolet Cavalier had stopped in the middle lane, for a reason currently unknown, at which point it was rear-ended by a SUV.
Three people were in the Cavalier, two men and a woman. One person was ejected from the vehicle and two had to be extricated. All were then taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. No one in the second car involved in the accident was hurt.
