There was a fatal car accident on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) early Sunday morning.
A woman was driving home on the Eisenhower, when she stopped her car on the shoulder just west of Kostner Avenue. A short time later, a vehicle "rear-ended" her car at approximately 5:45 a.m.
The woman, Arquilla Jones, 29, of Carol Stream, was declared dead at Stroger Hospital at 7:07 a.m.
Three other people, including Jones' boyfriend who was in the car with her, were injured during the accident. The other two people injured were in the car that rear-ended Jones' car.
According to authorities, alcohol and speed may have played a role in the accident.
